I wouldnt play this in anything remotely aggressive, but love it in durdly decks leveraging the usual trio of land fixers (Nervous Gardener, They Went This Way, and Topiary Panther)

Thassas Oracle is very close to being a clean upgrade to Laboratory Maniac in all the decks that want it outside of Grishoalbrand

Not all powerful commanders fit this formula, but if you're a lazy WOTC designer who doesn't want to spend much time cooking up a new commander that is guaranteed to be good and sell packs, this is what you vomit out
